Texas Day 1 (the longest day ever)

We originally wanted to drive to Austin, TX for Brett & Cassie's wedding, however I found some CHEAP plane tickets, so we changed our plans! We drove to Kansas City on Friday, June 24th very early in the morning. (It wouldn't have been so early if it weren't for the detours because of the flooding of I-29 in Iowa!) The detour also had lots of construction that we had to wait on as well! It was a fun car ride.
We got behind this semi through the construction. Yippee!!

When we finally got to Kansas City, we were still VERY early for our flight! We got to hang out in the terminal for 4 hours! We ate breakfast, and a had a snack for our lunch.
Clair and her princesses!

This is how we traveled! Lucky Bum brand book bag so it clipped in the front on the kid's chests. That way it didn't slip off their shoulders. They each had a water bottle in a side pocket and we strapped their dolls onto the back of the book bag with the bungie cord.

Doug & Alden enjoyed the wait at the airport!

Samantha colored a pretty picture.

More pictures of our book bags!

I passed the time by texting!

Here comes our plane!

Yay! The kids are excited to board!

This is how we flew to Houston on the 1st part of our trip. I got to sit in the middle of Samantha & Alden and then I had Clair on my lap as a Lap Child! Let's just say I'm glad that she can't fly for fee anymore!! Flights are not fun with a 1 1/2 year old on your lap!

We finally arrived at our hotel in Austin! We all slept good after that long day!
