Memorial Day

Memorial Day. Started in Humboldt Then to Summerfeild, KS.

Then ON to Plattsmouth For Some Fun in the sun.
Samantha Loved the Life Jacket this year Was a little unsure of everything in the water. We had to clean off the little feet before she could go in . That water was a little on the cold side.
Samantha tryed to figure out what Nick thought was so fun with these balls, it did not interest her as much as just running around the back yard.


Samantha Chased nick around the kitchen and every now and then stopped to do some dishes.

Heather's Wedding

The wedding was in Beatrice and fun was had by all. Samantha Loved the bubbles waiting for the bride and Groom, This is Michelle's Cousin Jenifer from IL

Into the Cross wind

Samantha was happy to get back into the doodlebug this weekend. So, Sam and I went to bike church as Debbie calls it. We covered just 7 miles but she had a great time. We stopped at a park and played on the slides while I recover. When I set everything up she trys to get in and put on her helmet.
The best part for Samantha is when we pass puppy dogs. She waves at almost everyone that passes our path. At the park she played with a 2year old who was taking a break from the other direction.
You can see Sam gets the good end of the deal. Plush seat, cup holders, and room for a friend. Also, No pedaling!

The Doodle bug is about 30lbs + Sam about 25lbs(depending on breakfast) + toys and water ?lbs= One tired Doug.

Planting Flowers

Samantha Has a Green Thumb. She mixed up some dirt dug some holes and Put in some flowers(ok she just played in the dirt) When we were all done she took some time to smell the flowers or dirt in her case.

Mother's Day!

Samantha and Michelle take time from their day for a photo session. (that rarely happens here) they spent the day together having fun.
Started the day at Michelle's Parents and ended at my parents. Where we dined with Big Fred.

Sunday at the HDZ. Lots of crazy people with strollers and we were one of them. Sam was afraid of the gorillas. but loved everything else.

Hit the Trail

Samantha and I hit the west papio trail on the

last weekend of April. I was worried how she would do in the doodlebug this year. Once we were in and moving she had a great time squealing and talking to the bikes that zoomed by. I think the scale is wrong and she gained about 50lbs this winter. OR may be my legs are just that wimpy. We stopped at a park and swung and went down a slide or two. She emptied my water bottle. when I put on my helmet to get ready to go she grabbed hers and put it on her head and got in on her own. I hope We can have this much fun all summer long. And it gave Michelle a break from taking care of two winey kids.
