Doug's 30th Birthday Bash

On April 16th, Doug turned 30!!!!! We had a BBQ at our house with our friends to celebrate! The weather was very nice, and allowed the kids to play outside on the new playground! We had 17 adults and 12 kids at our house that night!

Samantha's Tree

We had this tree planted the week Samantha was born. It's a Service Berry Tree and blooms in the spring, then the flowers turn to berries, and then the berries turn into fuzzy leaves. It turns orange in the fall. We had to take a picture a few weeks ago when it was blooming! It is so pretty and the best part is that we aren't allergic to it! :)

Our New Playground!!!!!!!

Doug's parents got us a Rainbow playground for his 30th birthday! Jim & Llyod Burgraff & Doug worked on it on Saturday afternoon and Sunday during the day. The kids were so excited when they saw them building it!

Outdoor Fun!

We spent the afternoon of April 9th playing with sidewalk chaulk on the driveway! The kids thought it was pretty fun to color the driveway! Clair really enjoyed being outdoors!!

Samantha's First Soccer Game

Samantha had her first Micro Soccer game on April 7th. It was VERY cold and VERY windy = with also meant VERY miserable conditions for the parents and the kids! She had fun. She wasn't aggressive, but got better as the game went on. They practice for the first 1/2 hour and then play the 2nd 1/2. They play 3-on-3 and then at the end of the game they play 6-on-6. She has one other little girl on her team - Amelia! And her friend Caden is on her team too. The name of their team is the Monkeys - which is very fitting for Samantha & Caden both! :)

Easter Afternoon/Evening

We went to Doug's parents' house for Easter lunch. Aunt Jodi, Auntie Debra and her friends - Janelle, Robin, & Michael also came. The kids also opened their Easter gifts from Grandma & Grandpa McKnight. After lunch we had an egg hunt in the back yard and then the adults blew bubbles at the kids. The were GIANT bubbles! :) We headed home for summer and my dad met us for Easter Dinner and the kids opened their Easter gifts from him. Clair also had her 1st Vegetable Baby Food - Carrots!

Easter Morning

We woke up early on Easter morning and went to auntie Debra's 8:30am church service in Omaha. The girls were all dressed up in their beautiful dresses from auntie Debra and Alden wore his tie that auntie Debra gave him. The love going to Debra's church on Easter Sunday because they have beautiful kites that they fly above the congregation! After church, we went back to our house and the Easter Bunny had left some goodies for the kids while we were in church. We attempted to take a picture of just the kids, and you'll see how that turned out! Samantha got some flip flops from the Easter Bunny as well as a some sunglasses, my little pony, a water bottle for bike rides this summer, and lots of candy. Alden got some sandals, sunglasses, pirate water bottle, hot wheel cars, and lots of candy! Clair got a baby stroller that she can push around the house when she starts to learn to walk in 6-9 months, swimsuit, pacifiers and lots of baby food!

Richardson Easter

The Richardson Easter was held in Pawnee City the day before Easter at Grandma Farmer's house. My mom went down with the kids and I before Doug got off work. We stopped in Humboldt for the Easter Egg Hunt and saw some good friends! The kids got to meet the Easter Bunny and got some

candy and money! Next, we went to Grandma Farmer's for lunch and then headed to the Pawnee City Easter Egg Hunt where the kids got more quarters and candy! Then, we went back to Grandma's house to dye eggs with all the cousins! Samantha had a blast with Macy & Kate! Alden loved to get his fingers dirty and enjoyed painting the eggs with a paint brush! Next we went outside and had a family Egg Hunt with 590 eggs!! Each kid was allowed 50 eggs!! My aunt Janet & Uncle Craig stuff all the eggs with candy or coupons and the kids love this hunt! After the egg hunt, everyone got supper ready and then it was time to us to head home! It was such a good time, as I hadn't seem some of my cousins since before Thanksgiving!
