Day of Labor!

On Labor Day Weekend, we said goodbye to summer with a party at Doug's parent's house. Our friends Mike & Christie Haag and Kyle & Katie Graves came along with their kids. It was a chilly day, but the kids still had to get in the water (even if they were shivering). They spent more time playing games on "land"!

Ian tries to climb onto the bean bag toss game!

Lots of games of "tag" going on!

The girls played ball alot!

Alden & Jayger had to show us their muscles.

The boys were the last ones to leave the water...but as it got later in the day, it got even chillier!

The Third of July!

We celebrated a little early this year for the 4th of July! We invited our friends out to Doug's parent's house for a little Fun in the Sun on July 3rd. Our friends Christie & Mike Haag, Katie & Klye Graves, and Lindsey Gross-Rhode came along with all their kids!

Samantha & Alden tested out their new goggles that daddy got them.

Jayger went down the big slide!

Grant followed Jayger...but Samantha wanted no part of it!

Clair loves to float on her back!

Mikena & Alden monkeying around.

Crazy eyes!

Clair is still working on that sharing thing...

Samantha & Megan had fun at supper!

Jayger, Mikena, Samantha & Alden watched from above as the adults finished eating.

Jayger & Alden chased each other with water balloons!

Jayger's dad, Mike, was in charge of filling all the water balloons up!

He was a popular man!

Jayger, Mikena, Christie, & Mike stayed late and watched fireworks around the lake with us! Check out their patriotic outfits! Lots of red, white, & blue! :)

Fathers Day

On June 19th, we celebrated Doug's 6th Father's Day! We let him decide what we were doing! We went to Mahoney State Park to go for a walk and play on the playground!

We went to the indoor conservation center.

Clair & Doug went on their own special walk.

It was a beautiful day for a walk!

We stopped for a quick rest!

Clair loved the playground.

Clair was so proud that she could walk across the bridge! She did it over 20 times!

Doug pushed us on the merry-go-round and I held on for dear life!

"Haha, you can't get me!"

The older two kids loved to swing, but Clair did not!

Clair climbed all the way to the top of tallest slide at the playground. Doug had to go up and get her!
After we were done at Mahoney, we drove to Doug's mom and dad's house for lunch, present opening, and swimming.

The kids sat with Papa McKnight. Clair ADORES him!

Doug tried to get the kids to swim out to him.

Clair loves the beach!

Doug finally came to the beach and let Alden on his raft!

Memoral Day at the beach

We went out to Doug's parent's house on Memorial Day afternoon (after planting the flowers). We needed some beach time like every other Memorial Day in the past!

Clair loved the sand!
Alden enjoyed his time in the water!
Samantha tried to build a sandcastle.
Our 3 beach babes!

Memorial Day Zoo Trip in the wind!!!!!

On Memorial Day, we decided to go the zoo since we'd be out in the open air. Clair was still sick and we thought that outside air might make her feel better. I think it tired her out more, but not sure if it made her better. We only stayed a few hours, but that was long enough to see our favorite stuff!
The sun was in our eyes, but it looks like Alden is saluting something/someone!

We saw the Rhinos on the top of the hill...it was a hard hill to climb with 2 passengers in the double stroller!
The Cheetah babies were out and they were very cute!
Our patriotic group shot!

Planting Flowers With Lots of Help

Clair was sick for Memorial Day weekend, so I took Samantha & Alden up to pick out some flowers in Bellevue and then we returned to plant them on Memorial Day afternoon.

They liked to dig in the dirt with their gloves on and then they started throwing the dirt around!
We planted the flowers very quickly and they are still alive today - on July 6th! :) Anything past the 4th of July is great I think! :)

Hunting Some EGGS!

On the Saturday before Easter we were invited to the Linda & Carl Glup's Egg hunt. The kids have always had a wonderful time at their hunt.
Clair was good at spotting the eggs, but not so good at picking them up. Here she displays her skill of stopping 2 feet away and pointing.

Finally Ruby Campin got tired of Clair pointing at it, so she picked it up and put it in Clair's basket.

Alden was off to the races. He also slid into many of the eggs to pick them up, and we would say "safe" like he was sliding into home plate.

Samantha was a fast picker-upper. If only picking up toys in the house was as fun as an egg hunt we could have a spotless house.

Alden searching for more. He said "I have to look on their level"

Alden wanted a picture with the Easter bunny right after he got done asking "who's in there" to the bunny. They both posed the same way! It was too cute.

Stella Campin & Samantha

Linda had invited some real bunnies to the party. Kim & Derek brought out Pancake and Popcorn. The kids all loved petting the bunnies.

Clair - "meeting" the Easter bunny. Just like at Disney World she screamed and cried. This is as close as she got (but that was only because Michelle forced her near him).

A Group photo of all the hunters and Linda and Carl in the middle. It was a great day and lots of fun. Samantha and Alden had a blast we are really fortunate to be invited to such a great event.
