Imagination Movers "In a Big Warehouse Tour"!

The day we all had to spring forward with the clocks, we went to see the Imagination Movers concert. The show was in downtown Kansas City at the Midlands Theater. The kids enjoyed seeing the old theater and walking around downtown before the concert. However, it was pretty chilly that weekend.
Alden with his usual theatrics.

Wating while the girls went potty.

We were in the second row on stage right. They were great seats!!

Why can't Doug ever have his eyes open in a picture??

Choo-Choo Soul opened the show. They got the party started! Watching DC break dance was cool. Alden loved them.

Sam's Favorite Song ~ sang by Nina~On My Way Home(In a Big WarehouseDisney Music CDs)
). She loves doing all the Hawaiian moves that go along with the song

There was a little area that turned into a preschool mosh pit. Sam and 3 or 4 other girls danced right infront of the stage the whole show. The movers came down off the stage alot and said "hi" to the kids. Sam got a front row for Rich's solo.

Alden Stayed in his seat but it was on the aisle and did lots of high fives and fist bumps with the Movers.

Sam getting a pat on the head after the solo.

When they slowed things down a bit Clair took it a little too far. The show started right about nap time and I guess Clair felt like she needed her rest. :) She slept so hard, even right through a couple fast songs! Mover Dave came down and saw that she was asleep and just laughed at her! Later on when she woke back up, Dave said "good morning" to her! It was cute!

The highlight for Alden was Eddie the monster. This is Alden waving to him.

Eddie on stage.

Dave was infront of us the whole show so Sam and Alden got to know him well. This is when he came down to the crowd and said "Good Morning" to Clair.

Dave Rockin' the New Orleans Saints Logo on the Bass.

Confetti coming down from above! Sam had to save some for her scrapbook.

At the end Choo-Choo Soul came out and played a few songs with the movers.

It was a great show. The kids had a blast and they work in some music for the "big kids" with Beastie Boys and Van Halen.

T-Rex cafe

On March 12th, we drove to Kansas City in preparation for the Imagination Mover's Concert the next day. We left right after Doug got off work and drove to our hotel @ the Legends Mall in Kansas City, KS. We unloaded our stuff and then did a little shopping at the outlet mall and then had an early supper @ T-Rex Cafe.
The whole restaurant is themed with dinosaurs and the kids thought it was so cool when we went back in August. The food was good, too, so we decided to eat there again.
We had to wait about 30 minutes, and we were eating @ 4:45pm for supper! It is a very popular place!
Our 2 "brave" kids...Clair wanted nothing to do with the dinosaur! :)
It almost looks like the dinosaur is eating Samantha! :)
But...Clair did enjoy her food! Evidence is all over her face!
The dinosaur hung right over our heads!
Goofy Alden as usual!!

-------------------
I went to a Les Mills Quarterly (they release new music that the programs are choreographed to every 3 months) in Kansas City the weekend of my birthday. It was held at a Gold's Gym in Kansas City and we were able to try almost all of the Les Mills Classes - BodyPump (weight lifting class), BodyStep (Step Aerobic Class), BodyCombat (Mixed Martial Arts/Kickboxing Class), BodyVive(Mixed Aerobic Activities), BodyFlow (Yoga Class), BodyJam (Dance Class), & BodyAttack (High Impact Aerobic Class). Doug watched the kids and I rode down with a bunch of girls from the gym. We left on Saturday afternoon (my birthday) and then Doug picked me up in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon (so that I could be home in time to tuck Samantha in bed on the night before her first day of Preschool). Once we checked in the hotel, we decided to go out for dinner @ Chili's (one of my favorite places to eat)! The girls all told the waitress it was my birthday and she sang a very soulful Happy Birthday before delivering my Molten Lava Chocolate Cake (my absolute favorite dessert)! I roomed with Michelle Coffman - another instructor from the gym and we stayed up way to late gabbing! In the morning, we got up at 5:30 and ate a quick breakfast and headed to Gold's Gym to get an early start on the day! Since we were early, we got first pick of the Les Mills Clothing! BodyPump got us started off right! Next was BodyStep - which goes crazy fast - Michelle C. & I only lasted through 4 songs!! 3rd was BodyCombat - my favorite! After we talked to the instructors about what we could do better, I jumped in the shower and Doug was there to pick me up for the ride back to Nebraska. The rest of the girls from the gym stayed until it was all over at 6pm that night!

KC & Eye Appointments

We drove down to Kansas City the night of our 8th year wedding anniversary, because we had eye appointments with Uncle Scott the next morning. Debbie & Scott had balloons for us and Debbie made an ice cream cake too! We had a fun evening with the kids at their house. The next morning, Debbie watched Clair while we had eye appointments. Debbie took her on a walk to the park and it sounds like she had fun! A lot more fun than getting our eyes checked. :) We got to see Scott's new office, which was really nice and really close to his house! After the eye appointments, we picked up Clair and headed to the Legends shopping area where we went to the TRex Cafe! The kids loved it! It was very neat inside! Lots of dinosaurs to look at! They got to "Build - A - Dino" at a shop in the restaurant! Alden named his FECTORD again and Samantha named hers PINKASAURUS. We did a little shopping at the Outlet stores and then I drove everyone home. (I didn't get my eyes dilated, so I was in the best shape to drive home.) Samantha, Alden, & Clair all slept the whole way home!

Crayola Cafe & Store @ Crown Center

The next morning after the Imagination Movers Concert, we went to Crown Center and took the kids to the Crayola Cafe & Crayola Store. They had fun and we also went to the Hallmark Visitor Center and the kids got to stamp a passport showing the different areas we went to and then at the end they got to push a button to make a bow that they got to take home with them. Afterward, we started the long drive back home. Clair did not like the car ride home, so we ended up stopping in Nebraska City for a break to see my parents.
