Hunting Some EGGS!

On the Saturday before Easter we were invited to the Linda & Carl Glup's Egg hunt. The kids have always had a wonderful time at their hunt.
Clair was good at spotting the eggs, but not so good at picking them up. Here she displays her skill of stopping 2 feet away and pointing.

Finally Ruby Campin got tired of Clair pointing at it, so she picked it up and put it in Clair's basket.

Alden was off to the races. He also slid into many of the eggs to pick them up, and we would say "safe" like he was sliding into home plate.

Samantha was a fast picker-upper. If only picking up toys in the house was as fun as an egg hunt we could have a spotless house.

Alden searching for more. He said "I have to look on their level"

Alden wanted a picture with the Easter bunny right after he got done asking "who's in there" to the bunny. They both posed the same way! It was too cute.

Stella Campin & Samantha

Linda had invited some real bunnies to the party. Kim & Derek brought out Pancake and Popcorn. The kids all loved petting the bunnies.

Clair - "meeting" the Easter bunny. Just like at Disney World she screamed and cried. This is as close as she got (but that was only because Michelle forced her near him).

A Group photo of all the hunters and Linda and Carl in the middle. It was a great day and lots of fun. Samantha and Alden had a blast we are really fortunate to be invited to such a great event.

Super Alden!

Alden is trouble. He got into Doug's swimming bag one night and destroyed his goggles. He thought he was pretty cool wearing them.
Alden watched a show with them on, but not sure how but he did it.
Then he convinced Doug to put his cap on him. This is Alden roaring. Not sure why a 3 year old with a cap and goggles thinks he needs to roar. He managed to rip all the padding off the goggles so it was just the hard plastic on his face. He loved it but it looks painful to me.
Now he thinks he is swimming.

Has it been 6 months already?

Well Six months just seems to fly by these days and it was time for our April check ups at McKnight Family Dental. Alden was the first to Jump in a chair.
Alden is a great little patient and has been since he turned two. The only weird thing is he calls Doug, Dr. Doug when he is in the chair.

Sam was next. Here she is picking out her new toothbrush. Biggest decision of her day. Sam also got an experimental sealant. Doug got a sample of a new product claiming great things, but he is skeptical of everything so he is testing it on Sam before he would use it on a "normal" patient.

Alden with his bag of goodies watching Sam get her teeth Cleaned.

Then there was the wild card that is named Clair. She sat in the chair and opened really big. She did great for a one year old.

What a good helper. Just so you know I also got my teeth cleaned but no one needs a picture of that.

Let's Go Royals!

Alden and Doug were watching the Royals lose the other night and Clair decided to get in on the fun and took Doug's Hat.
I think she wants to be a catcher?
Cheese!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Her teeth look a little more like a hockey player then baseball at the moment. Maybe someone should take her to the Dentist.

Kids in a Sink and a walk river side

We went to the Omaha river front area several weeks ago. It was a nice sunny day but the wind was blowing like crazy by the river.
Best picture we managed to get of all 3 of them at once with the Omaha skyline in the background.

Sam and Clair taking in the beauty that is the Missouri River.

Clair hanging on by the river.

Sam in Clair in a sink at the shop.

I don't think the sink is big enough for all three of them.

MOPS OCM

In March, some moms from my MOPS group met up at the Omaha Children's Museum. The kids had a great time playing, while us moms got to chat.
Clair enjoys the supermarket and pushing the cart.
Alden does too!
Keith checks out one of the kids.
Clair & Mikena go fishing in the "big backyard" exhibit.
The ball room is always a hit! Alden loved it when we went when he was 1 1/2 and so does Clair!
Working hard!
Alden & Mikena work together in the ball room.
The MOPS kids - minus Keith (he left before we took the picture).
Samantha, Jayger, Mikena, Alden, & Clair.
Outside on the big O!

Soccer Sam

Sam's Soccer season has been clicking along. She enjoys it so much and giggles all the time she is out on the field.
Alden and his "girlfriend" Mikena in the cheap seats watching their older siblings play.

Sam is tough. In this picture she ended up on the ball as is about to be kicked. But she hopped back up and kept playing. Lots of kids in this league when they hit the ground it is production to get them back up and stop crying. Although, Samantha did get a bad bloody nose when her teammate accidentally hit her with a ball during practice, and she cried quite a bit then. I'm pretty sure the tears were about the blood and not the pain!

Riding Bikes

On a nice warm day this spring we went out to Doug's Parents to ride some bikes. The kids love wearing their helmets. Alden still hasn't figured out this pedaling thing so it turned into basketball and soccer for him rather quickly!
He can Dribble pretty good. Remember kids: always wear your helmet when playing basketball with a 3 year old. If wondering his helmet is a duck, duck, goose Giro Me2 Infant Bike HelmetBike Helmets for Kids)

Sam got going fairly good and we went down the street some. Maybe by the end of the summer we can take off the training wheels.

Sandy helping Alden back on. He loves the fact that is bike is a Giant just like dad's and they are both red.

Clair is with out a bike. So she ran around with a soccer ball.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day at our house was uneventful, but there was still lots of green to go around.
