Auntie Debra's Church

Clair needed to take a picture by the Baptismal Font!

On December 26th, we all went to Auntie Debra's church in Omaha - First United Methodist Church @ 72nd & Cass. She gave the sermon and the kids love going to her church. They wore their Christmas dresses/outfits and had fun getting "showed off" to her congregation. Clair and Doug spent most of the church service out in the hallway because she was so loud, but I enjoyed her sermon.

Christmas Morning @ Night!

A little dancing before dinner...

Showing off his ornament he got from Grandma & Grandpa
Samantha got some doll clothes for her new American Girl Doll!

Goofy Alden!

We usually celebrate Christmas with Doug's family on Christmas morning, however we had a few other Christmas celebrations to do first. We ended up at Doug's parent's house for dinner on Christmas Day. Greg stayed in Seattle this year, but Auntie Debra & Mike came down from Omaha. Sandy made a delicious dinner for us and a fantastic peppermint cheesecake!

We opened presents and then played for the rest of the evening. Mike got the kids the Despicable Me movie and the silver goggles that Alden is wearing came with it! They looked so funny on him! :)

Christmas Day in Pawnee City

Alden - helping Grandma Nancy make lunch

Aunt Louie with Alden

Can you tell they are all related? (including the doll) :)

Katie, Samantha & Kayla

Clair enjoyed it when Grandma Farmer picked her up!

Alden was so excited about his toolbox!

Clair got away with eating a few sweets, because it was Christmas!

This is only 1/4 of the family!

After we opened presents on Christmas morning from Santa at our house, we jumped in the van and drove to Pawnee City to my grandma Farmer's house. Alden helped Grandma Nancy make mashed potatoes while Samantha played with her new American Girl doll with Kayla & Katie. We had lunch and then the kids opened their presents, but we had to leave before all of the family arrived (because we still had 1 more Christmas that day). Clair got a Duck Pillow from Katie, Alden got a tool box and tools from Zach, and Samantha got a Barnes 'n Noble gift card from Fiona. They also got some books and a movie from Grandma Farmer & Aunt KK.

Christmas Morning @ Our House

We opened SANTA'S gifts on Christmas morning at our house. The kids left Milk & Cookies for Santa, but Santa wasn't very hungry because he didn't eat much of the cookies. The kids were actually still sick from the previous week, so they weren't too happy when we woke them up at 6:30am to open presents (because we had 2 other Christmas's to get to that day). Once they got upstairs and saw all the presents, they were very excited. We all wore Mickey Mouse Christmas PJs and tore into the presents.

Santa shopped for lots of the gifts at Disney World and the kids were quite impressed that Santa had been to Disney World too! :) For the big gifts, Clair got a Dancing Mickey Mouse, Alden got a drum set, and Samantha got an American Girl Doll that looks like her.

This was the best picture of all 3 kids!
Look how excited they were to take pictures!

Christmas Eve

We celebrated Christmas with my mom and my dad and my brother Chris, on Christmas Eve at our house. I spent the whole afternoon cooking! I actually cooked this year (usually we get take out). I made a ham, mac & cheese, green bean casserole, and bread. We had dinner and then we opened presents. The kids got lots of goodies from Uncle Chris, Grandma, and Grandpa.

A visit to see Santa & Herbie

Doug & his dad took Alden to the Husker Basketball game when they played Grambling on December 21st.

He got a picture taken with Santa (we're pretty sure it's one of the football players), Herbie, & and few cheerleaders. I think it's funny that they made Doug get in the picture! :)

Alden wanted his picture taken by the Big 8 Championship trophy!

Christmas with Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa McKnight

We had our Christmas with Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa McKnight on December 20th. We took Pizza Hut pizza over to their house for supper and we had ice cream cake for dessert! We opened presents and the kids played with their new toys.

This was the best picture of all 3 kids...we couldn't get Clair to stand still!

This was the best one of the kids and Lila & Cecil! Clair needed this ball in the picture and she refused to look at the camera!

The kids were in goofy moods that night! This was the best one of all 5 of us! :)

Alden likes his car that he got!

McKnight-Weekly Christmas

Alden - posing by the tree!
Samantha & Cassie talked about Jessie (Samantha's new doll from Disney World) alot!
Erin & Eric colored with Alden & Samantha!
Alden, Clair, & Samantha by the Christmas tree!
Our best family picture this Christmas! :)
Lila & Cecil with all the grandchildren & great-grandchildren that were there.
Jamie, Doug, Eric, Brett, Myself, Clair, Alden, & Samantha. ( We were missing 9 people!)
Doug & Alden have the same facial expressions (the eyebrow raise is funny), so I had to take a picture of them doing it together!

We had the McKnight - Weekly Christmas on December 19th @ Doug's parent's house. Sandy made a wonderful lunch and we had a good time. There were a bunch of family members that couldn't make it, so we had a small gathering this year. Brett, Cassie, Scott & Debbie came from Liberty, MO; Tom & Evie came from Fremont. Jodi, Jamie, Brandon, Eric, & Erin came from Omaha. Debra & Mike came from Omaha for a few minutes, but then had to leave to go to Mike's family's Christmas. And then Lila, Cecil, Doug, Myself, Samantha, Alden, Clair, Jim & Sandy were all there from Plattsmouth.

We played a gift card game and had fun eating all of the Christmas treats that Sandy made!
