Before going swimming we all went to Outback Steakhouse for supper.

My mom, Samantha, Alden, & I took a little vacation to Lake of the Ozarks last week. We all had a lot of fun! We did some shopping at the outlet mall (okay--we did ALOT of shopping there), we did some hiking and went to HaHa Tonka Sate Park and saw the castle ruins and some great scenery, we went swimming a couple of times and we went to another State Park and played on the playground and had a picnic lunch. We had lots of Frozen Custard, too! The kids did fairly well during the drive, so we have hope to go to Dallas, TX this week for Auntie Debra's graduation!

We stopped in Odessa, MO on the way down, because we knew that there was a "Toddler" playland area at the McDonalds there. Samantha had fun stretching her legs and crawling on all the stuff after we ate lunch. When we arrived in Lake of the Ozarks, we looked for a place to eat and ended up at Chili's. Then we went back to the resort and did a little swimming.

When we told Samantha we were going to go to a castle, she thought we were talking about Cinderella's Castle and she thought there would be rainbows. After we told her that this castle was broken from a fire, she said "Maybe Handy Manny could fix it?" It was hilarious!!! After looking at the castle, we did some shopping and then ate a BBQ place for supper. And we got some Frozen Custard from "Randy's".

On the last day we were there, my dad rode his motorcyle down to try to beat the rain. He stayed in the resort the rest of the week. We went out to eat with him at Outback Steakhouse and then he took Samantha to the Toy Store and a fance dress store at the outlet mall. Then we had Frozen Custard and went swimming again.
