Sam and Alden went to the Christmas Carol at the Omaha Community Play House with Grandma and Grandpa McKnight While Clair went to the ER because of a dislocated elbow.  Guess which arm.

All better!

Michelle teaches Body Combat, a Les Mills program, at the Plattsmouth Community Center.  Les Mills had a Quarterly Workshop in Omaha at the Downtown YMCA. These are instructors from our gym that went with Michelle!

We took the kids to the Heartland of America Band Christmas Concert.  

They got to meet Santa, Clair screamed.

Jim and Doug took Sam and Alden to a Husker basketball game.  Sam got picked to be in a game at half time.  They put all the kids shoes in a pile at center court. Then they had to run and put them on and come back and make a basket.  Samantha found the girl in blue's shoes for her because they had the same type of boots.  

She almost made it to the hoop.

She won a hot dog for playing.  Alden was the real winner.

Then the kids hung out with this guy in a Santa suit.

After Christmas there was a nice warm day and we got some Ice time at Mahoney State Park!

And we ran into Shaely and Teresa at the rink.

Sunday School Kick Off!

I am in charge of our Sunday School once again this year! We had our Sunday School kick-off party on September 11th. We had 19 kids in Sunday School (which is great compared to our average of 7 kids each Sunday last year). We also have some new teachers which I am thoroughly thankful for!! We have A LOT of 3 year olds! If all our 3 year olds come to Sunday School at the same time we could have 11 of them! This is awesome for the future of our church!

Each year, I take pictures of the Sunday School kids and put them up on a bulletin board in the hallway! Its fun to see how they each grow up over the summer!

One of the bulletin boards reads: "GOD'S LOVE IS SO BRIGHT, I GOTTA WEAR SHADES!" Each kid has sunglasses on in their pictures! (I stole this idea from a past Sunday School leader/teacher at our church!)

The kids sang at the 10:45am church service. I didn't get to watch because I was running around like a chicken...

Jessica, Ian, Samantha, & Kaia would not cooperate for a picture! I love Ian's face...I can hear him say "What are these girls doing to me?"

I needed some help hauling some tables/chairs, so I called my dad! Even at my age (which I will not say what exactly that is!), a girl still needs her daddy! :) He was a lot of help! He hauled me around to run errands in town and then stayed and ate with our group and played with the kids! Thanks Dad!

Unmasking Fashion @ First United Methodist Church - Clothes by Cold Water Creek & Old Navy

The 1st annual UNMASKING FASHION show at the First United Methodist Church was held on July 30th. Coldwater Creek supplied the women's clothing and Old Navy supplied the children's clothes.

I did all the fliers, tickets, postcards, and programs for the show.

This was my first outfit and my first trip out on the floor. I found myself looking down a lot because there were chairs everywhere and instead of tripping, I insisted on looking at the ground as I walked.

Samantha walked pretty fast and was pretty shy, but she did great!
