Pumpkin Ridge 2011

We have been slacking.... but here we go.

We spent a Saturday afternoon at Pumpkin Ridge in Nebraska City.

The kids had a great time searching for that perfect pumpkin!

We all had a great time and Enjoy talking to the owners of the farm. The kids get a kick out of going out into the field and finding their very own pumpkins!

Lunch with friends in Nebraska City

We went to Nebraska City on August 5th to have lunch with my friend Mandy Bowen and her kids Lily and Bradyn. We ate lunch at McDonalds and then the kids got to run around the mall while we shopped!

Mandy brought some quarters for the kids to ride the rides!

They enjoyed the rides! And didn't like it when we were done!

Lily & Samantha really enjoyed playing together!

Then we had to stop by my dad's cabinet shop to see his new display! The kids had fun trying out all the cabinets, drawers, and the new shower!

Clair & Alden played Hide 'n Seek...not such a great plan hiding in a clear shower! :)

When we said it was time to go, they all got in the shower and wouldn't let us open it!

Visiting Nebraska City

I took the kids and went to Nebraska City last week. We hadn't been there since before Christmas, and we needed out of the house! We went to the bank with my dad and he showed off the kids, then we grabbed lunch at McDonalds and took it back to the cabinet shop. Alden & Clair rode the rides in the mall, while I took pictures of Clair in various sinks around the shop. :)

Arbor Day State Park

I took the kids down to Nebraska City on Tuesday afternoon to see my parents and my mom wanted to take the kids to Arbor Lodge State Park to see the Whispering Bench and also see the mansion. Samantha & Alden had lots of fun in the leaves that had fallen from all the trees in the park and they also played on the playground there. Clair didn't enjoy the trip much, because she had to stay in her car seat carrier, because it was a little too breezy to get her out that day. The Whispering Bench was fun because it's really big and the kids couldn't believe they could hear what someone said on completely the other side of the bench just by whispering. :) We also drove up the mansion and walked around and Alden kept saying "Big"!
