Day of Labor!

On Labor Day Weekend, we said goodbye to summer with a party at Doug's parent's house. Our friends Mike & Christie Haag and Kyle & Katie Graves came along with their kids. It was a chilly day, but the kids still had to get in the water (even if they were shivering). They spent more time playing games on "land"!

4th of July

We went back to the beach for the 4th of July! The kids wore Red/Blue lifejackets in honor of the 4th of July!

The Third of July!

We celebrated a little early this year for the 4th of July! We invited our friends out to Doug's parent's house for a little Fun in the Sun on July 3rd. Our friends Christie & Mike Haag, Katie & Klye Graves, and Lindsey Gross-Rhode came along with all their kids!

Fathers Day

On June 19th, we celebrated Doug's 6th Father's Day! We let him decide what we were doing! We went to Mahoney State Park to go for a walk and play on the playground!

We went to the indoor conservation center.

Clair & Doug went on their own special walk.

We stopped for a quick rest!

Clair was so proud that she could walk across the bridge! She did it over 20 times!

Doug pushed us on the merry-go-round and I held on for dear life!

After we were done at Mahoney, we drove to Doug's mom and dad's house for lunch, present opening, and swimming.

Day at the lake

We went out to Doug's parent's house one afternoon in June and had fun at the lake!

Memoral Day at the beach

We went out to Doug's parent's house on Memorial Day afternoon (after planting the flowers). We needed some beach time like every other Memorial Day in the past!

Water Hopscotch!

Samantha loves to play hopscotch, and I found this water hopscotch thing that you hook the hose up to and it sprays water on them as you jump on it. The kids thought it was SO much fun!

Memorial Day Zoo Trip and Afternoon @ The Beach

We were at the Henry Doorly Zoo front gates when it opened at 8:30 on Memorial Day. We know that it just get more crowded as the day goes on, so we only planned to spend a few hours there. We went to the aquarium first and took pictures of the kids with the penguin statues. Clair was awake at the zoo for the 1st time! It was exciting for her to see the penguins swim in the water! It was also Doug's first zoo trip of the year! We also saw the giraffes, zebras, Madagascar Exhibit, bears and gorillas. We left the zoo and went to Fazoli's and then headed to Doug's parent's house after naps. Doug rode his bike out there and we met him out there for some fun in the sun. We put on our swim suits and put our toes in the water for the 1st time this year. Doug went knee boarding with Joel & Beth and the kids got to ride in the boat. I stayed on the beach and buried Clair's legs under the sand! She loved the sand and didn't try to eat it! (both of our other kids tried to eat it) She loved to pick it up and watch it go through her fingers!
