Going to Space - Samantha sitting in a "Space Shuttle" ride at the outlet mall in Allen, Tx. She wouldn't let us put a quarter in, she just wanted to sit in it.
Sam & Daddy hanging out in the hot tub.We got up early and got ready to head to Dallas. Grandpa Jim came and got Samantha for their regular trip to the breakfast area to make waffles (it started on a trip to Kansas City in February and Samantha loves it!). We left the hotel at 10am and headed south. We got south of Oklahoma City before we had to stop for lunch. Samantha and Alden did really well this stretch of driving. Samantha entertained Alden for a while and Alden loved it! Once Alden was zonked out, Samantha enjoyed watching her movies in the van.
After lunch, it was nap time for everyone! Well, everyone except Doug because he was driving. We made it to Allen, TX for our next stop - Shopping at the Outlet Mall. Auntie Debra had a fancy graduation dinner and church service, that the kids would not have enjoyed, so we did a little shopping and then had supper at Chilli's before driving in to Dallas to get to our hotel. Once, we checked in, we got our swimsuits on and went outside to the pool. It was a fairly cool evening Dallas and the pool was not heated, so our swim was cut short. Samantha and Doug got in, but not very deep, as it was very cold! Samantha and I put our toes in the hot tub and Doug enjoyed relaxing in it. Alden just got to sit on my lap and be entertained by Samantha.
After the pool, we took a stroll around the neighborhood of our hotel and got some ice cream and when we got back to our hotel, Doug's parents, Greg, Debra, and Dawson came back to our room for some socializing.
