Imagination Movers "In a Big Warehouse Tour"!

The day we all had to spring forward with the clocks, we went to see the Imagination Movers concert. The show was in downtown Kansas City at the Midlands Theater. The kids enjoyed seeing the old theater and walking around downtown before the concert. However, it was pretty chilly that weekend.
Alden with his usual theatrics.

Wating while the girls went potty.

We were in the second row on stage right. They were great seats!!

Why can't Doug ever have his eyes open in a picture??

Choo-Choo Soul opened the show. They got the party started! Watching DC break dance was cool. Alden loved them.

Sam's Favorite Song ~ sang by Nina~On My Way Home(In a Big WarehouseDisney Music CDs)
). She loves doing all the Hawaiian moves that go along with the song

There was a little area that turned into a preschool mosh pit. Sam and 3 or 4 other girls danced right infront of the stage the whole show. The movers came down off the stage alot and said "hi" to the kids. Sam got a front row for Rich's solo.

Alden Stayed in his seat but it was on the aisle and did lots of high fives and fist bumps with the Movers.

Sam getting a pat on the head after the solo.

When they slowed things down a bit Clair took it a little too far. The show started right about nap time and I guess Clair felt like she needed her rest. :) She slept so hard, even right through a couple fast songs! Mover Dave came down and saw that she was asleep and just laughed at her! Later on when she woke back up, Dave said "good morning" to her! It was cute!

The highlight for Alden was Eddie the monster. This is Alden waving to him.

Eddie on stage.

Dave was infront of us the whole show so Sam and Alden got to know him well. This is when he came down to the crowd and said "Good Morning" to Clair.

Dave Rockin' the New Orleans Saints Logo on the Bass.

Confetti coming down from above! Sam had to save some for her scrapbook.

At the end Choo-Choo Soul came out and played a few songs with the movers.

It was a great show. The kids had a blast and they work in some music for the "big kids" with Beastie Boys and Van Halen.

T-Rex cafe

On March 12th, we drove to Kansas City in preparation for the Imagination Mover's Concert the next day. We left right after Doug got off work and drove to our hotel @ the Legends Mall in Kansas City, KS. We unloaded our stuff and then did a little shopping at the outlet mall and then had an early supper @ T-Rex Cafe.
The whole restaurant is themed with dinosaurs and the kids thought it was so cool when we went back in August. The food was good, too, so we decided to eat there again.
We had to wait about 30 minutes, and we were eating @ 4:45pm for supper! It is a very popular place!
Our 2 "brave" kids...Clair wanted nothing to do with the dinosaur! :)
It almost looks like the dinosaur is eating Samantha! :)
But...Clair did enjoy her food! Evidence is all over her face!
The dinosaur hung right over our heads!
Goofy Alden as usual!!

Grandpa Holman's Birthday

Grandpa Holman turned 80 this Feburay we met up at Ellbee's restaurant in Omaha. All the local family was there.
The kids all lineing up to watch him blow out some candles
A picture that was of all the great grand kids that were there. (Not sure why Linda jumped in the background). Debra & Jon jumped in, too!

A warm day in February

There was a nice warm day in February that happened to land on a Wednesday (Doug's Day off) So we went to the zoo. Well it never reached the high for the day and Doug was left walking around in shorts claiming he wasn't cold.

First stop was to see some penguins and see how the kids measure up.

Clair has out grown the macaroni penguin!

Alden was growling at the Puma. It was right up by the fence and growled back. Alden was scared! I don't think he thought the puma would talk back to him.

Clair got some good face time with an Orangutan.

Is everyone looking at the camera at once?

Alden being goofy that is a shock

Clair in front of "Claire's Falls".

Our Little Pride on the pride of lions

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was fun at our house. All 3 kids had Mickey Mouse shirts and Disney was pretty much the theme for their gifts too!
This is a normal picture...Alden is doing something weird!
Clair trying to get away!
Clair got a stuffed Rapunzel dolly!
Alden got a stuffed Bolt dog. And Samantha got Max (the horse in Rapunzel).
The kids were dancing for Grandma - who stopped by with some cookies!

Sam steals the camera

Samantha has been getting herself in trouble lately by Stealing the Camera. It is interesting seeing the world from her eye level.
Alden Eating his breakfast one winter morning.

The tv seems to be one of her favorite subjects.

Not sure if she planned this one or not.

Nothing like a picture of her place mat.

Who doesn't like to take pictures of the screen saver.

We have about 25 angles of this.

The last picture was proof she was the culprit. She tried to blame Alden and Clair.
