Fall Soccer

Samantha played soccer this fall and was on the Tigers team. She improved a lot since the spring season and had a lot of fun!

The games were never too cold this year. We had 1 or 2 cold or windy games, but out of 8 games in September & October, that's not too bad!

Fun in Nebraska City!

On October 19th, I took the kids to Nebraska City to meet my friend Mandy Bowen from Humboldt. We ate at McDonalds and then drove to the park by Arbor Manor to play. The kids had so much fun running and playing in the leaves. Mandy & I got to chat while the older ones played. Alden & Lily are the same age and Bradyn & Clair are about the same age. Samantha likes to be the mother hen of the group! :)

After the park, we stopped by the mall to see my dad and do a little shopping.

Mahoney State Park

We went to Mahoney State Park for a fun fall day in October. We picked Samantha up from school and headed straight there. We took a picnic lunch for the kids and ate right on the boat dock to the lake. We had the place to ourselves, except for some pesky bees! After lunch, we walked a little bit and tried to get some pictures of all 3 kids, but we had no luck! We drove to the tower and we all climbed up it! I carried Clair and Sam & Alden actually walked all the way up! Alden wasn't a fan of the top! We decided to go for a hike in the woods and it was very pretty! Finally, we capped off our day with some time on the playground before we had to head back to Plattsmouth.

A Day at the Dentist's Office

Sam & Alden had their teeth cleaning in October by Doug. Clair had her teeth counted by Doug.

Family Pictures

We had a fundraiser for my MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group and it was a photo shoot. Here are the pictures we had taken. We wore out LIVESTRONG t-shirts and our "Battling With Bryan" wristbands.

Pumpkin Ridge

We made our annual trip (this is our 4th year) to Pumpkin Ridge near Nebraska City on Sunday October 2nd. My dad went with us and the kids had a great time! We found 3 pumpkins to carve and also got some gourds and tiny pumpkins too!

Alden's Birthday

I know it's been almost a whole month since we posted last...but we've been busy and we've been sick! :( Hopefully, we can get caught back up before we leave for Disney World on December 1st! :)

Alden's birthday was October 5th! We met my mom at Red Robin for lunch (Alden's choice). Alden got an ice cream sundae, but Samantha ate most of it! Alden decided he wanted to eat right as Samantha was finishing the ice cream! It was almost a disaster, but Grandma helped advert Alden's attention and we soon left the restaurant! Otherwise, we had a great birthday lunch!

That evening, all of the family members met at Doug's parent's house once again for a birthday celebration! Alden's theme for his part was MONKEYS! (We chose this mainly because he is a monkey!) He had a monkey cake and even got a little one all to himself!

He enjoyed opening presents! He got a Toy Story play center from Doug & I, Pop On Pals from Grandma & Grandpa McKnight, Hot Wheel race track from Nebraska City Grandpa, Toy Story Legos from La Vista Grandma & Uncle Chris, a Map Puzzle from Auntie Debra & Uncle Greg, Robot from Great-Grandma & Great-Granddad Holman, Disney Gift Card from Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa McKnight, Wack A Mole Game from Aunt Jodi, Jamie, & Eric, Toy Story action figures from Samantha & Clair, Star Wars action figures from Kathy & Nathan, and a shirt from Janelle!
