Into the Cross wind

Samantha was happy to get back into the doodlebug this weekend. So, Sam and I went to bike church as Debbie calls it. We covered just 7 miles but she had a great time. We stopped at a park and played on the slides while I recover. When I set everything up she trys to get in and put on her helmet.
The best part for Samantha is when we pass puppy dogs. She waves at almost everyone that passes our path. At the park she played with a 2year old who was taking a break from the other direction.
You can see Sam gets the good end of the deal. Plush seat, cup holders, and room for a friend. Also, No pedaling!

The Doodle bug is about 30lbs + Sam about 25lbs(depending on breakfast) + toys and water ?lbs= One tired Doug.

Planting Flowers

Samantha Has a Green Thumb. She mixed up some dirt dug some holes and Put in some flowers(ok she just played in the dirt) When we were all done she took some time to smell the flowers or dirt in her case.

Mother's Day!

Samantha and Michelle take time from their day for a photo session. (that rarely happens here) they spent the day together having fun.
Started the day at Michelle's Parents and ended at my parents. Where we dined with Big Fred.

Sunday at the HDZ. Lots of crazy people with strollers and we were one of them. Sam was afraid of the gorillas. but loved everything else.

Hit the Trail

Samantha and I hit the west papio trail on the

last weekend of April. I was worried how she would do in the doodlebug this year. Once we were in and moving she had a great time squealing and talking to the bikes that zoomed by. I think the scale is wrong and she gained about 50lbs this winter. OR may be my legs are just that wimpy. We stopped at a park and swung and went down a slide or two. She emptied my water bottle. when I put on my helmet to get ready to go she grabbed hers and put it on her head and got in on her own. I hope We can have this much fun all summer long. And it gave Michelle a break from taking care of two winey kids.

Easter

Samantha can find eggs by the dozen. She went to Humboldt and P.C. egg hunts. And on Easter Had her own Personal Egg hunt at Grandma McKnights with eggs filled with Gummy snacks, Goldfish, and Teddy grams.
She had to clap after every egg she put in.

Back when it was spring time(before this cold spell) SAM broke in her new swing set. She loved the slide.

Last week

Samantha went outside the other week and watched me do some yard work. She Liked to run down our front yard and she mostly rolled.
